OMS Upgrades – Dashboard and Listing Module Redesign

We are almost finished upgrading the Office Management System to match your broker and the corporate website redesign and to make the OMS easier to use.

Here is a preview of how the new OMS Dashboard will look. The graphs will be moved below the Alerts in the actual working version.

Here is a preview of the new Help-U-Sell Real Estate Dashboard redesign.

In the new design, you will also be able to add custom events to the calendar. We expect to have the new Dashboard up and running by the end of the week.

We are also redesigning and streamlining the Listing Module. It will resemble an MLS form, and the number of tabs will reduce from the current eight down to just four.

We want to hear your feedback on the new look and, once it’s live, the functionality of the OMS redesign. Comment below or contact Tony directly.

Changes to Search on the New Corporate Site

Based on input from our franchisees and to streamline the search process for site visitors, we have made a couple of changes to the new corporate site’s search imagery and functionality.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate's Corporate Website Search
Based on input from franchisees, we have changed the image of the person from a man to a woman.

Instead of the man who previously appeared in the search area on the homepage, a woman is now pointing to the search bar. The man remains on the internal pages of the corporate site.

We have also streamlined the search process so that visitors who search for homes go directly to franchisees’  websites to view results. If a visitor searches in a city that more than one Help-U-Sell office serves, the system will direct the visitor to the office that has garnered the least number of leads from the corporate site. This “counter” method will keep track of which office’s site last received a lead and will evenly distribute leads, as opposed to the random, round-robin method currently in use. Visitors will land on search results pages on broker websites that Help-U-Sell built. Franchisees that are using a web solution from a third party will still get leads, but visitors will be taken to the franchise’s home page. The reason being that we cannot control the data that is delivered from a third-party source.

Someone who searches for single-family homes in Tucson from the new corporate site and is directed to Southeast Rita Ranch Realty’s site will see the map view of single-family homes in Tucson on Southeast Rita Ranch Realty’s site, as pictured below.

Visitors who search for Tucson homes will be taken to the map view on Help-U-Sell broker sites.

The visitor will no longer have to click through from the list of Help-U-Sell listings. Below is the current search results that a visitor who searches for Tucson homes sees.

The current Help-U-Sell site's search results page looks like this and requires visitors to click to get to a franchisee's site.

We think the new search method will make getting leads easier and will fairly distribute them. If you have any questions about this change or any suggestions about the new website, please let us know.

California Event Next Week

Where will you be next Wednesday, May 23? Our own Ron McCoy and James Dingman will be attending Agent Reboot Orange County, a one-day, tech-oriented event produced by Inman News, and they would love for you to join them.

“In real estate, survival depends on doing large numbers of transactions with fewer people,” says Dingman, Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s Chief Development Officer. “Smart brokers use technology to become more efficient, freeing up time that used to be spent on marketing and administrative tasks, for more important things like making new contacts and putting more transactions together. I know of no better place to get an understanding of the tech tools available and how they function in a real estate operation than Agent Reboot.”

During the fast-paced day, presentations will last no more than 20 minutes and will cover topics ranging from video marketing to generating business on Facebook to nurturing your clients. Inman News’ Chris Smith and Katie Lance will be among the speakers, along with experts like Zillow’s Industry Outreach Manager Brad Andersohn.

Agent Reboot Orange County will take place at the Hyatt Regency Irvine, and it runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you’re in the area, we encourage you to attend with us. The registration fee is only $49 if you book online. Go to the official site to sign up.

If you’re not based in Southern California, there are other Agent Reboot events scheduled from now through the fall, with stops in Portland, Ore.; Phoenix; Denver; South Florida; and Honolulu, to name a few. You can see the full list of locations on the Agent Reboot site.

New Help-U-Sell Real Estate Corporate Site

If you have attended the past couple of weeks’ Tech Time Tuesdays, you’ve had a sneak peek at our new corporate website.

In case you didn’t get to see it yet, here’s a screenshot of the new homepage.

New Help-U-Sell Real Estate Corporate Website
The new Help-U-Sell corporate website has a sleek look that complements the new broker sites.

The new site is dynamic and more photo-rich than text-heavy. Images rotate automatically, encouraging site visitors to click deeper into the site to read about buying or selling a home, opening a franchise and to see how much they could save by listing with a Help-U-Sell Real Estate broker. Our new web-based mobile application is also featured in the carousel of images.

Links to our Facebook and Twitter accounts are prominently displayed at the top of the homepage to make it easier for potential clients and franchisees to connect with us.

The leather-like texture in the header and footer match the new broker websites and other marketing materials we’ve recently created, and the search bar acts the same as it does on the new broker sites.

The new corporate site will be ready to launch soon. As always, we welcome your feedback. Please post it here or contact us directly.

New Broker Websites to Launch March 1

We are excited to announce that our new broker websites will be available next Thurs., March 1. The new look is modern, clean and very user-friendly. On the homepage, the top section below the search bar showcases your office listings, featured properties or open houses. Beneath the carousel of listings is where your personalized content appears. We encourage you to record a 30-second welcome video if you don’t have one already. You can also use text and images in that open space to the left of the banners. We also suggest incorporating your office’s Facebook account into your page so that users can comment on your site and you can start a dialogue with your potential clients.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate Broker Site Homepage
Here's the standard version of the new Help-U-Sell Real Estate broker website homepage.

The new website design’s search functionality, which will be on every page of the site, combines the best of the intelligent search and the filtered search. Users will be able to type in what they’re looking for and choose from drop-down menus for property type, status, number of bedrooms and number of bathrooms. The user can also enter a price range and the farthest distance from his chosen city(or cities) he wants to see results from.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate Broker Site Search Functionality
Users can search in multiple cities and filter the search results in a number of ways from any page on the broker's website.

Brokers will have more freedom to control their sites to suit their markets. You will be able to change the names of the navigation headers, such as “Buyers” and “Finance.” Also, if your office doesn’t deal with commercial property or if you have no rentals, you can remove those options from the type and status filters, respectively.

The Map View Page on the Help-U-Sell Real Estate Broker Site
On the map page, users can further refine their search results.

Like in the map view, the properties in the list view can be sorted by Office Listings First, Latest First, Price: High-Low and Price: Low-High. You can select which sorting category is the default. On mouse-over of a listing, three buttons appear: Contact Agent, Save Listing and View Listing.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate Broker Site's List View
Upon mouse-over in list view, a property's agent can be contacted and its listing can be saved and viewed.

The features featured in this article just scratch the surface of what the new website offers. We invite you to try it out before it launches next week. Go to www.testoffice.helpusell.com.
