As the weather improved, May bloomed for many Help-U-Sell offices, especially those in the South.
1) Help-U-Sell Buy Today, in Charlotte, closed an impressive 18 sides, consisting of eight buyer and 10 seller transactions.
2) Virginia-based Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate had a sweet 16 closed sides. Two were buyer sides, eight were seller sides, and three were dual-sided transactions.
3) Carlisle, Pennsylvania’s Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty completed 11 closed sides: six buyers and five sellers.
4) Help-U-Sell Greensboro round out the top offices with 10 sides made up of two buyer sides and eight seller sides.
When it’s time to sell your home, there are many things you need to do to get it and yourself ready. These include what to provide to make showing and selling easier (a lock box, signs), how to change your mindset (your home is now a product), what to discuss with your agent (how will offers be presented?, what does the paperwork look like?), and how to choose an agent (what are his listings’ average days on market?, review testimonials) .

Mark your calendars! The dates are set for Help-U-Sell Real Estate Success Summit 2015. We’ll be learning and mingling in Las Vegas from Tuesday, October 6-Thursday, October 8.
We received great feedback on the location and the hotel itself last year, so our host venue will be Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino again. Rates are $129 per night (not including a daily $29 resort fee, which offers WiFi and fitness center access for two). Attending the Summit itself is free of charge.
The agenda has not been set yet; we want input from our brokers to help us shape the meeting. But we do plan to have special breakout sessions geared toward agent training, so we encourage agents to attend.

The transactions poured in during the month of April for our top offices!
1) Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties, in Chino Hills, Calif., closed 15 sides, 11 of which were seller transactions and two of which were dual-sided.
2) Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties finished a close second with 14 sides: three buyers, nine sellers, and one dual-sided transaction.
3) Charlotte’s Help-U-Sell Buy Today had an almost symmetrical month with five buyer sides and seven seller sides.
4) Rounding out the list, fellow North Carolina office Help-U-Sell Greensboro closed six buyer sides, two seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.
Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s corporate website has a new look and feel, and new functionality. The site is responsive, meaning it adjusts itself depending on the device being used. The main impetus for the changeover is the shift in how people are accessing the Internet. As laptop and desktop computer sales continue to decrease, and mobile devices’ popularity is on the rise, it is imperative that websites adjust. In addition, Google has just begun boosting the ranking of mobile-friendly pages on mobile search results.
One of the ways the site is more mobile-friendly is its streamlined menu, which is now easily accessed with the tap of a finger.
Because many people’s preferred way to receive information is now visual, videos appear on the homepage to explain the benefits of choosing Help-U-Sell Real Estate to sell or buy property. The homepage features four videos that focus on different client types or needs.
The site uses technology to determine a user’s location and help him or her find the nearest franchise office. The background image on the homepage also changes based on the user’s location. The image of the homepage (above) depicts a skyline in Florida, where the company’s headquarters are located.
The other major upgrade is the search functionality. Users can now search for properties in a specific neighborhood, on a particular street, or near a place. Once they are redirected to a local Help-U-Sell Real Estate office’s search results page, users can further home in on where they want to live by drawing a border on the map or by selecting criteria such as certain schools, subdivisions, and neighborhood amenities (like on a golf course).
The local office websites will be converted to the responsive design later this year.
