Help-U-Sell Real Estate has two new marketing postcard designs for spring. Both are geared toward sellers.

Spring brings fresh flowers and new EDDM (every door direct mail) postcards. Excel Printing & Mailing has set up a co-op for Help-U-Sell Real Estate franchisees to enable a lower cost per piece. The postcards, with postage and shipping, are only $0.28 each.

Mark your calendars! The co-op starts on Mon., Apr. 7, and ends Mon., Apr. 21. We have designed two new seller-targeted postcards. One is based on the “8 Questions Every Home Owner Should Ask Their Agent” flyer. You can customize the eight questions and localize the contact information. The other new design (pictured) promotes Market Sketch, our tool that offers real-time data on the local real estate market. A QR code will direct recipients to a page like this one. If you would like to send out the Market Sketch postcard and do not have a page set up, contact the home office so that we can create the page on your site.

Once you’ve logged into Excel’s site, you will click on Office Co-Op to see the designs, customize them and place your order. You can still order the two designs from earlier this year.

Be sure to order enough postcards for the next three months. The next co-op for EDDMs will start on July 7, 2014.

It’s a new year and time for new EDDM (every door direct mail) postcards. Excel Printing & Mailing has set up a co-op for Help-U-Sell Real Estate franchisees to enable a lower cost per piece. The postcards, with postage and shipping, are only $0.28 each.

The co-op runs from Mon., Jan. 6, through Mon., Jan. 20. There are two new postcards directed toward sellers, and you can customize the message and the contact information, as well as the Sold & Saved and Testimonials.

Once you’ve logged into Excel’s site, you will click on Office Co-Op to see the designs, customize them and place your order.

Be sure to order enough postcards for the next three months. The next co-op for EDDMs will start on Apr. 7, 2014.

New Marketing Materials Unveiled at Success Summit 2013

At last week’s Success Summit in Las Vegas, Mike Paholke of Excel Printing and Mailing unveiled new marketing materials, including door hangers.

Melding old school with new technology, two of the three door hanger designs have QR codes that link directly to a lead-capture form on the broker’s website. One is for the free home evaluation, and the other goes to the Market Sketch registration page.

Excel has also introduced refreshed jumbo and standard Just Listed and Just Sold postcards that reflect the new branding. Like the door hangers, two of the three designs have QR codes for lead capture.

Alexander’s Print Advantage, our print-on-demand vendor, has created new options for the reverse side of the business cards, along with new handout cards. All of the designs incorporate the refreshed look and feel of the postcards and door hangers.

Brokers and agents can order the new pieces directly from Excel and Alexander’s. Excel is running a special co-op on the door hangers now through Nov. 8. Order before next Friday and save. Additional co-op opportunities will run next year. These are great ways to make the most of your marketing budget.

New Marketing Materials: Holiday Cards and Postcards

We have been keeping our two print vendors busy so far this year creating new marketing pieces for you.

At the request of members of our marketing focus group, we have designed holiday cards for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Independence Day and Thanksgiving. Each card has at least two different messages from which to choose. You will be able to order these cards from Alexander’s Print Advantage in the next few weeks. A winter holidays card is already available on the site. Twenty-five cards and envelopes are $41.50. We recommend sending these new cards out to your current and past clients as a way to stay top of mind. Consider buying them far ahead of each holiday and addressing the envelopes on a rolling basis to avoid a mad rush and to ensure you remember everyone.

Excel Printing & Mailing has created two jumbo postcards to be used as ETMs. The cards are 70 percent customizable. Each option, the Easy Way and the Smart Way, can be ordered in a black color scheme or red color scheme. Excel has put together a co-op on these postcards to be able to offer us an incredibly low rate. Offices need to place their orders by the end of the day on Feb. 27 to take advantage of the co-op. Excel handles the mailing of the postcards, and you can schedule the mailings months in advance. Nearly everything on the postcards can be altered, including images, testimonials, headlines, and contact information.

The jumbo postcards are priced at $0.27 each, including postage, and there is a one-time $35 setup fee. We suggest ordering enough to last through the spring market.

New Help-U-Mail Program from Excel Printing & Mailing

Starting Jan. 31, our friends at Excel Printing & Mailing will officially launch a new program just for us. Called Help-U-Mail, it is more cost-effective than door hangers, and the bulk of the work is done for you.

Excel will work with you to customize your 8.5” x 11” mailer and place their bulk rate postage permit on each one. You pay for the printing up-front and pay for the postage only when you mail out the flyers. You will be required to mail to at least one full carrier route each time you send the flyers, but you can choose to order as many flyers as you like ahead of time and mail them out in batches. After you take them to the post office, the flyers should be in mailboxes within two business days.

If you order 10,000, the cost will be $0.11 each for printing. If you order fewer, the cost per piece will increase. The postage per piece will be $0.142. However, Mike Paholke of Excel told us today to expect an “aggressive offer” on the launch date, so look for even lower pricing then.

John Powell of Help-U-Sell Galleria Realty and Craig Flint of Help-U-Sell Flint Realty have tested the program already. Powell is planning not to mail out half of his 10,000 order but to insert them into a local newspaper instead. You can see Flint’s flyer below. He has mailed out 9,000 so far and garnered several calls and a few likely listings.
