February 2020 Top Producers

There’s an old saying in New England, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute and it will change.” Not surprisingly, we have a similar theme in this month’s Top Producers report. After a few short weeks, there’s a new set of numbers to contend with and we have undergone a massive reorganization.

At the top of our list is Patrick Wood and his team at Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, CA. Patrick is in first place with 15 total sides for the month of February. Impressive!

Coming in at second place is Mike Bowling with Help-U-Sell Mike Bowling in Yuma, Arizona. Having been with Help-U-Sell for just over a year now, Mike and his team have already been making themselves a regular feature on our monthly reports. This month, Mike’s total is 7.

Broker/Owner, Coach, and author/trainer of the Buyer Consulting Training Program, Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro and his team are in third place with six total sides.

Then we have a whole slew of ties so populated, it nearly violates our new social gathering guidelines.

Fourth place is a three-way tie between Help-U-Sell 951 Realty, Help-U-Sell Metropolitan, and Help-U-Sell Options Unlimited, all with five sides for the month. That’s 1.25 deals closed a week!

Fifth place is even busier with five offices closing four sides each.

There is much uncertainty ahead for all of us. Not just in the real estate market, but every market we know from the stock market to the corner market. Every day changes dramatically before our eyes. Our deepest hope is that the momentum exhibited here for February can somehow be carried over into March and April, to a degree meaningful enough to continue to support our businesses and our daily lives.

May everyone stay safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Coaching: A Path to Success

Jack Bailey, Help-U-Sell Greensboro
Jack Bailey serves as a coach for Help-U-Sell Real Estate offices.

Coaching isn’t just for professional athletes. Real estate agents and brokers also benefit from the guidance and support of a coach. More than half of respondents to a 2014 survey by Inman said their business increased by at least 25 percent during the first year of working with a coach.

Of course, it can be pricey. Personal coaching costs most of the Inman respondents between $300 and $749 per month. Did you know that Help-U-Sell Real Estate offers small group coaching to our franchisees for no fee? Groups are limited to a small number of members, and they’re segmented based on the goals of the participants.

Coaching group members have weekly assignments such as creating a marketing budget and tracking their leads. They also learn from each other during open discussions.

In 2015, our brokers who participated in an internal coaching program saw an average revenue increase of 41.4 percent over 2014.

John Powell, one of Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s coaches, attributes this improvement to the change in point of view a coach is able to provide to a broker.

“A coach can stand outside of the business and view it with a different perspective than the broker who’s involved in the day-to-day operation,” said Powell. “The great thing about our program is, there’s no charge to our franchisees. It’s just a time investment.”

Participants see positive results from the guidance they receive.

“I think our business has benefited considerably,” said Eric Stalter, broker-owner of Help-U-Sell East Valley. “By setting goals on paper and tracking my leads and conversions, I am able to follow my business growth and actually see where I need change and improvement.”

If you’re interested in being coached, contact the corporate office. Jack Bailey of broker-owner of Help-U-Sell Greensboro, and the corporate office’s Powell and James Dingman all have openings in their weekly groups. Not yet one of our franchisees? Help-U-Sell Real Estate Helps Buyers, Too

Help-U-Sell Real Estate agents help buyers, too.
Help-U-Sell Real Estate agents help buyers, too.

Our name says that our agents help consumers sell their homes, but we also help buyers. In fact, just last month, our top producers closed 50 buyer transactions. Buyers are an important component of our business model, and we love working with them.

Many of our offices have dedicated buyers’ agents to handle the buyer leads our listings attract. Some offices offer rebates as another incentive for buyers.

To help buyers as well as possible, agents need to be trained in all aspects of the buying process. Our second 10-week buyer consultant training course for our brokers and agents just wrapped up this week. Run by Jack Bailey, broker/owner of Help-U-Sell Greensboro, the course covered everything from construction basics to financing programs to how to build buyers’ confidence and trust. Some attendees from the first course have already reported more buyer sides closed, and the teachings about lesser-known financing options like over-par pricing can save transactions.

For an overview of how we approach the buyer relationship, watch our video. You’ll see how our brokers and agents help buyers create a real estate plan for their financial future and find the best home for them in responsive and transparent manner.

Our website also helps buyers start their home searches. From the corporate site, users are directed to a local office’s search results page, where they can filter their searches by a variety of amenities and factors, such as waterfront and local schools. The search functionality also allows users to draw their own boundaries to find listings within the area’s confines. Further enhancements to the data are in the works and will make our search even more attractive for buyers.

If you love working with buyers and would like more information about joining Help-U-Sell Real Estate, visit our Franchise Opportunity Center.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate Live from Hawaii

Our Hawaii training attendees wave to the camera during a group selfie!

When we decided to host a training event in Honolulu last fall, we expected about 15 to 20 attendees. But several of our mainland offices couldn’t pass up a chance to learn and go on vacation at the same time, so we are enjoying a great turnout for our learning and networking session and having some fun, too!

Some of our top franchisees and their agents are receiving training on leads management, becoming buyer consultants, and best practices on social media, among other topics. We’re also unveiling our new responsive website and other new technology tools.
