Karen Detwiler and her team at Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty took home the gold for most closed sides in July.

If the Olympics included real estate sales, we would have had a clear gold medal winner and close contests for silver and bronze last month.

1) Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty stands atop the podium with an astonishing 24 closed sides for July. The Pennsylvania office’s winning performance consisted of 12 buyer sides, 10 seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.

2) Silver medalist Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties scored a total of 14 closed sides with two buyer sides, 10 seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.

3) Only one side behind, Minnesota-based Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate took bronze with 13 closed sides. Broker Debra Schmidt and team collaborated for two buyer sides, seven seller sides, and two dual-sided transactions.

4) Just out of medal contention, Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate closed 12 sides. The Virginia crew’s balanced effort delivered three each of buyer sides, seller sides, and dual-sided transactions.

5) Help-U-Sell Legacy, in Utah, also had a strong showing with five buyer sides, four seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.

Congratulations to all of our top competitors for July. We also want to give a high five to Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties for assisting two clients with the sale of their million-dollar homes.

California Realtor Expo and Advertising: As reported back in June, we will have a booth at the event this month in Long Beach. If you’ll be in attendance, stop by and see us at booth #221. You can register online. Also, look for our advertorials and ads in the next few issues of “California Real Estate” magazine. Here is a sneak peek at the first advertorial.

New Banner Stand
We’ve updated our franchise sales banners with new messaging and images.

New Banner Stands and Brochure: You’ll see our updated banner stands in person if you’re at the California Realtor Expo Sept. 27-29. We have one focused on technology and the other on our competitive advantage (pictured). We’re also finalizing a refresh of our franchise sales brochure. It will be mailed to prospective franchisees and given out at events such as the California Realtor Expo.

Informational Webinars: This Friday, September 9, we are hosting a free informational webinar for those who are interested in our franchise opportunity. For those who cannot attend next Friday, we will hold two more before the end of the year. People can register for any of the webinars on the Franchise Opportunity Center website. If you know someone who would like to attend, please share the link with him or her.

These are just a few of the franchise sales initiatives we have in the works, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek into some of what’s happening at the home office. As we have more news we can share, we will keep you posted.

Help-U-Sell Real Estate Hires Veteran Franchisee as Chief Development Officer

John Powell joins Help-U-Sell Real Estate
John Powell has joined Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s corporate staff as its Chief Development Officer.

We want to officially announce that John Powell has joined the Help-U-Sell Real Estate corporate staff! As many of you know, John is a veteran franchisee. He has also presented at our Success Summits and coaches other franchisees. He served as a regional director, as well, so he is very familiar with our system from all aspects.

Now, he is our Chief Development Officer.

While he spread the company’s message in the Tucson area as broker-owner of Help-U-Sell Galleria, his new position affords him the chance to do this on a larger scale.

“I joined the corporate team to help as many brokers as possible enjoy the success that I have experienced with Help-U-Sell Real Estate,” John says.

“My role has two primary objectives: one is coaching existing offices to increase their production and profitability by focusing on marketing, adding good people to their staff, training those people, and setting up systems to make the office run smoothly and efficiently,” he says. “The second role is to help build franchise sales to bring more brokers in to the Help-U-Sell Real Estate family and grow the franchise.”

The corporate staff is excited to have John officially on board.

“John brings decades of real estate and regional development experience, on top of being a Help-U-Sell Real Estate family member for nearly 30 years,” says Robert Stevens, our Chief Operations Officer. “He will be driving network growth and development to help us reach our goals for 2016-17 and beyond.”

Top Producers for June 2016

To paraphrase a famous Rogers and Hammerstein tune, June was bustin’ out all over! Offices in eight states are represented in the month’s top producers list.

1) With 20 closed sides, Help-U-Sell Triad Realty led the way. The North Carolina office helped seven buyers and 13 sellers.

2) Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty, out of Carlisle, Penn., tied for second place with 17 closed sides: five buyer sides, six seller sides, and three dual-sided transactions.

2) California-based Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties had one buyer side, 14 seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.

3) Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties closed a total of 13 sides made up of three buyer sides, eight seller sides, one dual-sided transaction.

4) Help-U-Sell Metropolitan, in the Detroit, Michigan, area, took fourth place with seven buyer sides, three seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction.

5) Minnesota’s Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate completed three buyer sides, four seller sides, and two dual-sided transactions.

5) Help-U-Sell Peoples Real Estate, in Philadelphia, also wrapped up June with 11 sides: three seller sides and four dual-sided transactions.

6) Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate did three buyer sides, five seller sides, and one dual-sided transaction in Virginia.

6) Help-U-Sell Select Real Estate, located in Eugene, Ore., assisted four buyer clients and six seller clients.

Our celebratory cruise is only four months away!

Serving as our host, the Carnival Inspiration will set sail out of Long Beach, California, on Monday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m. and returns Friday, October 14, at 7 a.m. There will be two ports of call, Catalina Island and Enseñada, Mexico.

We have finalized the agenda, and there will be many opportunities to mingle informally with your fellow franchisees and agents. We will also celebrate the past year and our 40th anniversary on board the ship.

Unlike our Success Summits of recent years, we’ll be spending less time in meetings, so feel free to bring along your spouse and children too. So far, 20 offices from all over the country are planning to attend. If you join us, you’ll get to meet brand-new franchisees and reconnect with veteran franchisees and agents.
