July Top Producers 2024

“Let July be July. Let August be August. And let yourself just be even in the uncertainty. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to solve everything. And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things.” – Morgan Harper Nichols

Summer is usually slow in real estate. School is out. People go on vacation. Parents prepare for the new school year ahead. Folks peek at other jobs to see what’s out there. All perfectly normal stuff that contributes to a real estate slow down in summer. What isn’t normal, is all the other events that unfolded, in addition to normal summer activity. Some buyers are waiting for the mortgage rates to drop. The wait is making some antsy sellers drop prices. The main thing everyone had their eye on: how the new laws and agreements would play out for handling commissions on the sale of home, beginning August 17.

So while all of that shakes out, we’re taking advice from the words above: You don’t have to fix or solve everything. There is going to be uncertainty for a while longer while the bugs get worked out. So we keep on persevering, and doing things the right way, as we have done for 48 years and counting.

Taking the hottest month of summer to number one, so he can grow amongst the changing things is Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina. Jack’s team brought 15 sides for July.

Top Producers Half Year Report 2024

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” – Tony Robbins

In a year that does not behave like other years, it can be hard to predict what is going to happen in the world, an industry, a market, or even a neighborhood. To the casual onlooker, a “sudden” explosion in popularity of a city can look like an overnight surprise. To the seasoned professional, they know many factors to weigh in from an influx of new jobs, great charter schools, housing builds, general affordability, and desirable environments. They all change.

Because those factors are always changing, so too are the tactics used to make yourself known, the types of marketing you try, the folks you choose to hire to help you, or the services you offer to grow your offerings. All of these things are an ever shifting mix of “spend more time and money on X” and “stop spending resources on Y.”

In other words, being open to new ways or habits that are serving you and making adjustments as necessary.

Jack Bailey

Top Producers Q2 2024

“Timid salesmen have skinny kids.” – Zig Ziglar

The real estate market can be a glorious thing. Sometimes it is so robust that houses fly off the market faster than rocket pops on a summer afternoon. Other times are a tough test that pits a true professional against people dabbling in real estate on a lark.

The longtime professionals are always planting seeds today for the harvests of good will down the road. There are no “skinny kids” with the seasoned experts who earn well during good times, yet also plan for leaner times. They expect and anticipate that roller coaster ride, because it always repeats eventually. They act accordingly.

So, we find ourselves looking squarely at Q2.

Jack Bailey

Ever the gardener tending to the seeds and plants, our favorite  Top Producer and occupier of the number one spot is Jack Bailey from Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina. Jack and his team have amassed quite the bounty in Q2 with 40 sides.

A person with a strong track record of steady growth, is Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate of Steele County in Owatonna, Minnesota. Her crew takes second place in our second quarter report with 23 sides.

The busiest realtor in Michigan, Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Masters in Port Huron, is in third spot with 18 coming from his office.

April Top Producers 2024

“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it.” – Hal Borland

Outside of “April showers bring May flowers”, it also tends to be the last gasp of winter. So when winter elements are still in play, when things spring back to life exactly is a mystery.

The real estate industry has no doubt been beset by some interesting hiccups and anomalies, with interest rates and concerns about inflation leaving many would-be buyers still on the sidelines.  As such, housing market activity for April declined by 1.9% from March 2024. Similarly, existing home sales also declined by 1.9% compared to April 2023.  Yet the median sale price went up 5.7% from a year ago. Across the country, unsold listings increased by 9.0% from last month, and it’s taking four more days to sell. Yet demand still currently outpaces inventory. Strange times!

In short, April was a bit tough. But the outlook gets a little brighter every day. Builders continue to create more homes. Innovators are revamping commercial properties into affordable living spaces, and of course, tiny homes remain popular.

Jack Bailey

Sides are blossoming in North Carolina, rain or shine. Jack Bailey and company at Help-U-Sell Greensboro are still number one. With 15 sides for the month, they make their own rain.

Sprouting into second place, Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties, in Chino Hills, California. Patrick’s team had seven seller sides for April!

Third place thrives with Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Masters in Port Huron, Michigan, and Kimberly Zelena of Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate in Waynesboro, Virginia. Each office brought five sides.

Fourth place is flourishing with Danny Kettle of Help-U-Sell Legacy in Layton, Utah, and Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate of Steele County in Owatonna, Minnesota. Both end the fourth month with four sides.

Top Producers Q1, 2024

“In Winter, I plot and plan. In Spring, I move.” – Henry Rollins

In what is surely one of the weirdest real estate markets yet (and that is saying something), we have arrived at the end of  the first quarter. As ever, current extremes are not applicable to all markets. It’s safe to broadly say that homes are sitting on the market a bit longer now before moving into escrow. Otherwise, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of commonality between markets.

That being said, for many years Spring has been accepted as the “best” time to sell and buy a house. Statistics and reports support the notion, but other factors besides cold weather are in play. So Winter might have created some slow down, but between the March report and Q1, it does look like sales are potentially blossoming for the warmer months. So we move!

Jack Bailey

It is no surprise that Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina is at the top of Q1 Top Producers. With 34 sides, and a whopping 25 sides coming from sellers, there’s nary a dull moment.

Taking second place with 15 sides is Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate of Steele County in Owatonna, Minnesota. The word “Minnesota” is a Dakota Indian phrase, meaning “sky-blue waters.” For Debra’s team, we take that as a sign of “the sky is the limit”.

Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Masters in Port Huron, Michigan pulls into third place with 17 sides. The spring thaw and savings will no doubt motivate people to get ready to spruce and sell for Spring.

Fourth place is a tie between Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties, in Chino Hills,California, and Danny Kettle of Help-U-Sell Legacy in Layton, Utah. Lucky 13 was the magic number.
