February Top Producers 2022

With the chill of February still lingering around many of our Help-U-Sell locations, our Top Producers are staying warm by keeping busy helping people buy and sell homes.

Case in point, the number one spot for the second month of 2022 goes to  Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Masters of Port Huron, Michigan. With nine total sides, he eked out first place by one! Jeff and his team made a year-long habit of appearing in the top five spots during 2021.

In second place we have a tie between two other perpetual Eagles vying for the brass ring: Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties of Oahu, and Jack Bailey and his team at Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina. Both fine offices are two very busy teams with 8 sides each.

Third place brings yet one more tie with six sides a piece between Kim Zelena and her team at Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate in Waynesboro, Virginia, and Mario Ferrante of Help-U-Sell Metropolitan in Woodhaven, Michigan.

At the risk of sounding silly, fourth place is also a tie. We are not making this up! Lona Lassen Murphy of Help-U-Sell Select Real Estate in Eugene, Oregon, and Mike Bowling of Help-U-Sell Mike Bowling in Yuma, Arizona, both finished February with five sides.

We won’t spoil the surprise for fifth place.

Guess what? It’s the second month of the year and Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties, in Oahu, starts the streak with his second month at the top of our Gross Sales Volume Report. $6.6 million for the shortest month of the year is pretty great!

Tito Gonzalez of Help-U-Sell South Santa Clara County

Adalberto “Tito” Gonzalez of Help-U-Sell South Santa Clara County in Morgan Hill, California pops in to make a statement in second place with $4.4 million for  February.

In third place is Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, California. His team made $2.4 million in sales. Patrick’s team is always creating sales in California.

Jack Bailey

It’s fun to point out fourth place when the difference is only $32,950.  Jack Bailey’s team at Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina didn’t miss the mark for third by much!

Thanks for joining us! See you soon!

February Top Producers 2021

February went by quickly didn’t it? Seems like life is speeding up a bit as more folks get  vaccinated against the covid-19 virus. Ultimately with a little patience and graciousness, we’re walking into the new chapter of life more hopeful than we did at this time last year. That’s good!  Our Top Producers are still grappling with a shortage of properties to list and sell, but the upside is: houses continue to sell blazing fast. By continuing to make earnest efforts, our best continue to work hard and show up here.

Jack Bailey

Case in point: Jack Bailey Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina. His team’s efforts nabbed the top spot with 16 total sides, with 10 of those coming from sellers. In a short month like February, four a week is great in our book.

Mario Ferrante of Help-U-Sell Metropolitan in Woodhaven, Michigan, takes second place with eight total sides. Life has such balance, both the sellers and buyers were perfectly equal.

Third place is a 3-way tie between Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties in Hawaii, Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, California, and Jeff Hedberg with Help-U-Sell Real Estate Masters in Port Huron, Michigan. All three of these gentlemen and their teams are regular faces in our top  producers list, and each have closed February with seven sides for the month.

Fourth place is a tie between Mike Bowling at Help-U-Sell Mike Bowling in Yuma, Arizona, and Lona Lassen Murphy at Help-U-Sell Select Real Estate in Eugene, Oregon, both with 5 sides each.

Of course, fifth place is tied up with four ties too. No complaints! We march towards March!

On to our Gross Sales Volume report, once again we find Patrick Wood at Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties taking the top spot with $5.8 million in sales for the month of February. What else can we say? Patrick is always crushing this metric.

Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties

Naturally, the primary competitor and often alternate first place Top Producer is of course  Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties in Hawaii. Richard’s team completed the month with $5.2 million in sales.

Jack Bailey

Our number one gentleman from the Sides Report, Jack Bailey, of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina, secures third place with the help of his trusty team and a total sales volume of $3.4 million dollars.

Thank you to everyone for continuing to shine and do what it is that you do best.

October 2020 Top Producers

October is always a month of transitions. The last few sparks of summer roar through the early weeks of the month, while the spikes of winter lurk closely behind, with the gorgeous leaves of change gracefully marking middle. One thing stayed consistent throughout: our Help-U-Sell Broker/Owners blazed a trail and continued to demonstrate that 2020 wasn’t going to stop them from selling and buying homes for all of our valued clients.

Coming in first for the first time this year: one of our men in Michigan! Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Masters in Port Huron and his team closed 18 sides in October alone. Our guess is he makes the top ten for 2020, too!

In second place is Debra Schmidt. Her team at Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate of Steele County closed with 15 houses being bought and sold in a single month – all in Owatonna, MN. This works out to 4.1 sides a week. Very well done.

Our other man in Michigan secures third place. Mario Ferrante of Help-U-Sell Metropolitan in Woodhaven, MI, stakes out 14 sides with his team. Since Mario is a near-constant top producer, we’d love to have him be a future broker profile subject.

In seventh through eleventh place, a sea of ties all with seven total. That seems lucky!

Richard Cricchio

The Gross Sales Volume report shows a staggering $7 million in sales for Richard Criccio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties. The top spot here is often where we can find him and his team, and October just re-confirms what we know about the Honolulu market: always hot!

Having shown up first on our sides report, it makes sense to see Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Masters in Port Huron on the GSV report. $3.5 million in sales divided by 18 sides works out to an average $196,000 per side. In other words: crushing it.

Third place was won by a margin of just $31,960! Lona Murphy at Help-U-Sell Select Real Estate in Eugene, OR has been showing us that small office model works just fine. She is the very definition of a mover and a shaker and is a showstopper.

For the first time, the Gross Sales Volume report goes “up to eleven” (for you Spinal Tap fans). It seemed pertinent to include every office that nailed down over $2 million in sales for October alone.

Keep on shining through the holiday season. Your determination continues to be an inspiration.

June 2020 Top Producers

Welcome to the June edition of the Top Producers Report. It already seems like it has been a long summer, likely because most of us are anxiously awaiting for life to return to some semblance of normal that we knew (and perhaps took for granted) before. However, several people featured on our report are making an argument in favor of creating what the new normal will look like by making strong sales in a time of uncertainty.

After a very short-lived slow down, the top spot returns again to Mario Ferrante of Help-U-Sell Metropolitan in Woodhaven, Michigan. Clearly his team found their groove for June, putting up 15 sides. With 9 being sellers, we take that as a sign of folks getting comfortable placing their homes on the market.

Kimber Regan and the team at Help-U-Sell The Smart Choice land second place, just one sale behind first place with 14 sides! Hailing out of Hanford, California, Kimber’s team has consistently made progress throughout 2020, but this month’s numbers feel more like a defiant response that asks, “What slow-down?”

In third place is Help-U-Sell Select Real Estate, led by the ever-industrious Lona Murphy, who primarily runs her show solo. In our eyes, this just makes her that much more impressive! She closed nine sides for June.

As per our normal tradition, there are lots of ties for 4th and 6th Place.

We know it’s been tougher than usual. The fact that you all keep persevering and producing is both an inspiration and a testament to your professionalism and continued commitment to provide the best service to your clients.

Thank you for doing your part to make the new normal.

Richard Cricchio

Moving on to our Gross Sales Volume report!

We find Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties at the top, closing out sales of $4.5 million for the month of June. Scarcity of space is naturally a part of island living and success of selling homes, but saving clients thousands of dollars in a market that is always high is surely THE enormous selling point.

In complete synchronicity with the Sides report, Kimber Regan’s team is second place here also. The 14 homes they sold in June resulted in $3.5 million in gross sales. Her “sold and save” postcards next month are going to be staggering!

In third place is Help-U-Sell 951 Realty in Murrieta, California. Owned by Ronnie Lee Thompson, Jr., Ronnie’s team cleared just over $3 million in sales.

The Right Choice for Julian Team

Before Gary Julian decided to get his real estate license in 1990, he spent a number of years in service-related industries such as banking and retail management. His wife, Wendy, got her license in 1998. “What you learn from public-facing work experiences like mine is how to play well with others. It also prepared me for having my own business in areas like payroll and supervision. I flourished in those jobs, but I’ve always loved the idea of being self-employed; It means I have 100% accountability,” Gary said.

Gary spent the first portion of his real estate career with a traditional brokerage. “I can tell you from first-hand experience, it’s a completely different mindset. There is no support. You are 100% on your own. In 2002, I moved from the traditional brokerage to a flat fee brokerage. Like many others during that time, that business went belly-up in 2007. I became an independent broker and offered a flat fee to my clients. After three years, I started researching possible franchise business options and decided to open my own Help-U-Sell Real Estate office,” he shared.

When asked why he chose Help-U-Sell over other franchises, Gary said, “Starting a business from scratch is no easy task. It helps tremendously going into one by having a brand name with a great, nationwide reputation. As an independent, the incoming calls coming were a bit tepid. When I ran ads as an independent, I wouldn’t get much traction. Suddenly, I add the Help-U-Sell logo, with language like ‘low set-fee’ and ‘save thousands’ and the visibility goes way up and the phone rings more.”

He added, “When you’re independent it’s hard to get noticed by anyone. I’ve gone door-to-door to bring attention to our business. With a national franchise, we have offices from coast to coast, an especially strong local presence, and an exceptionally large presence in the state of California as a whole. People started listing with us. We’ve got full service at a reasonable fee structure, and we don’t overcharge. People respond well to brand names; It gives them a degree of comfort. After opening our shop, we immediately had two sales come in from folks familiar with the name. We knew immediately we made the right decision.”

Most folks in real estate remember the traditional means of advertising was once primarily newspapers, but of course much has changed when it comes to marketing. “We found newspaper ads were not faring as well in our market as they once had, when compared to our internet marketing efforts. Figuring out your advertising spend takes time and nuance. The trick is getting people to know that we’re here. With the brand name, the logo, and a lot of signage, we’re finding there are a lot of ways to help people find us.”

Some of the Help-U-Sell in-house technology for marketing is also in use. “We do greeting cards three times a year: New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving, and 4th of July. We use the ‘sold and saved’ postcards, too. Next, we’re planning on making videos for social media. As we upgrade our technology presence, we upgrade our community visibility in general. One of my recent Facebook advertisements highlights a seller savings of $45,850 in commissions. We find those get a lot of positive attention. Oftentimes, we have a tendency to overthink a lot of things and really it just comes down to figuring out who wants your service,” Gary explained.

Having spent nearly 30 years in the industry, Gary has learned to weather the tumultuous tides of the changing housing market with ease. “I never looked at this venture as just a paycheck. I ignore the commissions, because I know they’re going to kick in. We get referrals from people who trust us, because we did right by them. That’s a return on advertising you can’t buy, only earn. I recently closed two sales that were entirely internet-related. Someone else found us from the national Help-U-Sell website and zeroed in on our office. I get affirmation that I made the right choice constantly,” Gary added.

Goals for 2019 will have Gary and Wendy doubling the number of sides they closed last year. Situated in a rare lower market for Southern California, the median range of homes is $290,000, which attracts a greater volume of buyers. Gary added, “The inventory has exploded, increasing 33% more than what it was at this time last year. Pending sales are down 5%. Overall, the population has exploded for California, so it’s an exciting time for us.”

Reflecting on their time together, Gary says, “Between the two of us, we have over 50 years of experience! We are doing well as a family business. We celebrate robust times, and in tougher times, we just put our heads together and move forward. There’s always going to be people with this need and you just need let them know you’re there.”
