July Top Producers 2020

July turned out to be a bit of a scorcher for more than weather-related reasons. The Top Producers list for July 2020 has revealed a decent uptick in activity from a slower summer due to Covid-19. Why? Quite simply: lack of inventory created fast sales.

With many sellers still hesitant to take a chance to pick up and move, coupled with the looming uncertainty of job instability and the economy, the houses that are being put on the market are being snapped up very quickly. That urgency is reflected in our July report.

Back at the top of our list is Mario Ferrante of Help-U-Sell Metropolitan in Woodhaven, MI. Bringing in a total of 16 sides for the month, it would seem many of his sellers took advantage of the hot market to make a quick sale.

Coming in just two sales shy of first place is Debra Schmidt and her team at Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate of Steele County. Keeping busy in Owatonna, MN, Deborah’s team was a close second with a total of 14 sides.

In third place for July is a tie between Jack Bailey’s team at Help-U-Sell Greensboro in NC, and Matt Kellam of Help-U-Sell Keystone Realty in Chambersburg, PA. Both offices close out July with 11 total sides.

Of course, we always have more ties than we know what to do with. Karen Detweiler of Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty in Carlisle, PA and Kimber Regan of Help-U-Sell The Smart Choice in Hanford, CA brought in ten sides each.

It’s nice to see the sizzle in summer!

Richard Cricchio

On our Gross Sales Volume report, who else would we find in our number one spot but Richard Criccio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties. His team continues to dominate the top spot with $5.4 million in sales for the month of July.

Second place lands at the doorstep of Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, California. His team closed $4.6 million in sales.

Jack Bailey

In third place is Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina with $2.7 million for July.

Although there has never been a tie in our Gross Sales Volume report, and likely never will be, having three offices rank with $70,000 of one another is likely as close as we ever get. Still really cool, though.

April 2020 Top Producers

Welcome to the April edition of our Top Producers report. We hope that this message finds you and your loved ones healthy throughout the quarantine.

With many of the states slowly easing up on the restrictions, we are pleasantly surprised to see the numbers posted in light of the lockdowns. We have shared several articles on the naturally downward numbers of spring home sales, and it’s nice to see that the alternative methods put in place did not create  much negative impact on the numbers our Broker/Owners were able to achieve.

In our top spot with an impressive 14 sides for the month, is Patrick Wood and his team at Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties, from Chino Hills, CA. Patrick’s team had an incredibly productive month with nine home sales and five buyers on the board. Clients were clearly able to adapt.

In second place from Yuma, AZ, is Mike Bowling, and his team at Help-U-Sell Mike Bowling. Also having a very strong month with ten sales, Mike’s team had eight buyer sides and two seller sides. With Mike’s extensive background in real estate marketing, he has been a regular staple on this report since he joined us in January of last year.

Third place is a tie, of course. Jack Bailey and his team from Help-U-Sell Greensboro, in Greensboro, NC and Debra Schmidt and her team at Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate in Owatonna MN, both had seven for April, with precisely five sellers and two buyers each.

The top ten list once again gets extended to 11, because of another tie. Kimber Regan of Help-U-Sell The Smart Choice, Karen Detwiler of Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty, and Maria Powell from Help-U-Sell Galleria Realty all closed the month of April with four sides.

It is heartening and inspiring to see your efforts paying off in these strange times. Congratulations to all of you and your respective teams.

Here on our Gross Sales Volume report, naturally we find Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties taking the lead with $7.5 million in sales. When one also has a month that included 14 transactions, it’s not surprising to be first place here also. A huge virtual high five to Patrick’s team.

In second place is perpetual eagle, Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties, closing the month at $4.1 million.

Third place brings a new face! Melissa Chan, Broker/Owner of Help-U-Sell Alpha Paladins Realty. Located in San Jose, California, her  office cleared $3.7 million for April, and she nearly made our side’s list also! We are definitely hoping to see more of her here over the summer.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning the fun fact that six of the offices that made our Sides list also showed up on our Gross Sales Volume list – which is twice the cause for celebration. Cheers, everyone! Please have a safe, happy, and fun Memorial Day weekend, and our thanks and reverence as always to honoring anyone who has served our country and does so today.

Top Producers 2020 Q1

The first quarter of 2020 started with the bang of New Year’s Eve and closed with a question mark for March, where we asked, “Now what?”

Our Help-U-Sell Broker/Owners supplied their own answers and landed in our Top Producers Quarter 1 report.

There is something reassuring about looking at this list and recognizing that no matter what’s going on in our nation and communities, that our Help-U-Sell Broker/Owners are continuing to make a strong showing, both in daily efforts to aid clients and also still making impressive dents in sales numbers.

First place for the quarter is a tie between Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage in Owatonna, MN, and Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, CA. Both offices close the quarter with 28 total sides.

Standing alone in second place, is Mike Bowling with Help-U-Sell Mike Bowling in Yuma, Arizona. Mike’s team brought in 23 total sides for the quarter.

Jeffrey Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Masters in Port Huron, MI and Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in North Carolina round off 3rd place with 22 sides per office.

Fourth place gives us yet one more tie between David Bartels of Help-U-Sell Full Service Realty in Westlake Village, CA , and Richard Criccio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties.

All in all, something to be proud of. Your drive to succeed is a force to be reckoned with.

Over here on Gross Sales Volume report, we have our “Frequent Flyers” in the top three.

Patrick Wood of Help-U-Sell Prestige Properties in Chino Hills, CA, clears first place by a landslide amount (no, that’s not a California-based joke). Ending Q1 with $17.6 million in sales places Patrick and team in a great starting position for the year.

Richard Cricchio

Richard Cricchio of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties and his team brought in $13.1 million and take second place for the quarter. His team of eagles are always soaring around these lists.

Naturally, David Bartels makes an appearance with his team at Help-U-Sell Full Service Realty in Westlake Village, CA. They cleared $12.6 million in sales.

You may have noticed that this list includes 11, and that was intentional. Anybody capable of clearing over 3 million in sales for the quarter when that quarter includes the holiday season and a pandemic, they deserve to be saluted for that success.

March Top Producers 2020

Spring has sprung!

Even if we are indoors far more than usual (and certainly more than we would prefer), we, as an industry, as business owners, and individuals in real estate, have rallied by finding new ways to innovate, work-around, and create flexible solutions in order to achieve the goal of selling and buying houses for our clients. Considering the quick and dramatic changes to protocols to protect one another, it would have been natural to presume that our numbers would have taken a hit for the March Top Producers report. Not so!

Starting off in the number one spot, is Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate in Owatonna, MN. Her team made a perfectly even split between buyer and seller sides for a total of ten. A super strong month!

The second spot is a three-way tie between David Bartels of Help-U-Sell Full Service Realty in Westlake Village, CA ,Kimberly Zelena of Help-U-Sell Direct Savings Real Estate in Waynesboro, VA, and Jack Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. All three offices came in with nine total sides.

Third place is yet another tie between Jeff Hedberg of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Masters in Port Huron, MI, and Roberta Pickens of Help-U-Sell Treasure Coast in Hobe Sound. Both offices closed eight sides.

Fourth place boasts a tie with two offices, and fifth place has a tie with FIVE offices.

March madness indeed!

In our Gross Sales Volume report, it would be a lot more miraculous if we managed to have a tie here.

First place is David Bartels and Help-U-Sell Full Service Realty. His team closed $5.3 million. Considering his office was in second place for Sides, March was a great month for them.

Yasumi Davis of Help-U-Sell Golden Homes in Martinez, CA, cleared $2.9 million for the month. Yasumi has been a frequent flier on our Top Producers list in the past year, and has been consistently putting up stronger numbers.

Perpetual eagle, Richard Cricchio, of Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties and his team brought in $2.2 million and take third place.

Considering the shock to our collective business systems, our ability to revamp on short notice is evident here. You persevered and did well. Please take a moment to appreciate your collective accomplishments and one another.

Broker Focus: Debra Schmidt

Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate's Debra Schmidt
Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate's Debra Schmidt

One of the leaders of the Winter Warm-Up Contest, Debra Schmidt of Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate lives and works in Owatonna, Minn., a town of just over 25,000 residents.

Being smaller has its advantages, such as the ability to offer the personal touch. Schmidt maintains a database of past clients and sends them an item of value each month. This usually consists of timely information about home-care topics such as winterizing your house. Her office takes this one step further and occasionally goes door-to-door with gifts. Recently, Schmidt handed out pizza cutters emblazoned with the phrase “great service any way you slice it” and the Help-U-Sell logo. In the past, she has delivered Christmas cookies, Valentine’s candy and pumpkin bread.

Her eventual goal is to get 90 percent of her business from referrals. For now, half of her business remains foreclosures and short sales. Schmidt said the market is picking up in Owatonna. Her goal for 2012 is to increase the number of listings and sales by 50 percent over 2011.

Schmidt attributes her office’s success to and pins her future growth on the following simple-but-effective tactics: “Do what you say you’re going to do. Keep in touch with buyers and sellers. Know what’s going on in your market.”

For new brokers, she advises, “You need to be in real estate for more than just the money.”

If you have advice for new brokers or agents, please share it with us in the comments section.
