Good Ideas From the Field: Help-U-Sell National Signing Day Banquet

Mikki Hart has a lot of great marketing ideas. During the holidays, she hand-delivered hundreds of cookies to local businesses and her “cheerleaders” in her town and just recently, Help-U-Sell Amarillo was in the news as the major sponsor the Help-U-Sell National Signing Day Banquet held Feb. 3 in Amarillo, Texas.

Seth JoynerSeth Joyner Helps Out

Former NFL All-Pro and Super Bowl champion linebacker Seth Joyner was the featured speaker. Joyner played 13 seasons in the NFL with Philadelphia, Arizona, Green Bay and Denver.  Joyner also provided many autographed memorabilia items that helped raised more than $3500 for scholarships for boys from the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles and New Mexico to attend “Combine,” a regional football training camp held annually as a showcase of football players’ talents to college and professional scouts. “The money we raised went directly back into the community,” says Mikki. “It enables more boys to participate at no cost.”

The Help-U-Sell National Signing Day Banquet honored area athletes who signed letters-of-intent and walk-on agreements on national signing day.

Gives Back to Community

Mikki believes in giving back regularly and that attitude is definitely helping make Mikki’s real estate business successful. While her mission was to help local boys get scholarships for college, “I actually got three listings from the banquet within two days,” Mikki explains. “People told me they respected that fact that I had supported the community.”

Free Photos Equals Leads

Mikki next big adventure is sponsoring the local Western Plateau Easter Egg Hunt at a local park. She has asked her favorite lender, First Mortgage, and favorite title company, Chicago Title, to help out with all of the expenses. “They will pay for everything; I just have to organize it.”  Other local businesses are also on board with prizes and other treats for the children. Mikki says she’ll capture leads from offering free photographs for children with the Easter Bunny. “We will send them a free picture via email,” says Mikki. “That way I’ll get the parents’ name and contact information.”
